Delete your Cargorun 9ja account

You can delete your account and personal data at any time, free of charge. This page explains how to request deletion and what happens afterward.

How to delete your account

Choose whichever method is easiest. Both are free and available worldwide.

In the app

  1. Open Cargorun 9ja and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile → Privacy & Security.
  3. Under Account, tap Delete Account.
  4. Enter your password and confirm deletion.

Business / partner accounts can also delete from the partner portal under Account settings.

By email

Use this if you cannot sign in or have already uninstalled the app.

  1. Email support@cargorun.com with the subject Account Deletion Request.
  2. Include the email address or phone number registered to your account.
  3. We may ask you to confirm the request to verify ownership.

What happens next

  1. ImmediatelyYour account is deactivated. You are signed out, and other users can no longer see your profile.
  2. Up to 30 daysIf you change your mind, sign in again to restore your account.
  3. Within 30 daysWe permanently erase your name, email, phone number, profile photo, saved addresses, rider ID and vehicle documents, selfie, location history, and push tokens.
  4. Legally required recordsPayment and wallet transaction records are kept only for the period required by tax, accounting, and anti-fraud laws, then deleted.

Please withdraw any remaining wallet balance before you delete your account. To delete only some of your data while keeping your account, email support@cargorun.com.

Data deleted with your account

When deletion completes, we remove personal data tied to your account, including:

  • Profile details (name, email, phone, photo)
  • Saved addresses and in-app preferences
  • Rider verification documents and selfies (if you are a rider)
  • Location history and push notification tokens
  • Chat content associated with your account, subject to order retention needs
